What We Do
The Friends of the Ephrata Police Foundation brings together community and business leaders to support public safety initiatives designed to make the municipalities serviced by the Ephrata Police Department safe communities. These initiatives include community programs like Neighborhood Crime Watch Programs, Citizens Police Academy, Scam Protection for Seniors, Bicycle Safety, Child Car Seat Safety, Preventing Vehicle Theft, School Safety, Anti-Bullying, and more.
Our work has just begun, and there is a much to accomplish. Through our public-private partnership, we will pursue, privately fund, and implement programming that creates a safer community.
Support
We help support the public’s safety and security.
Allocate
While aiding in the allocation of equipment and technology we assure a safer environment for the officers.
Strengthen
Continually strengthening and fostering relationships within the community while promoting projects and services.
Align
We support, advance, and align strategic initiatives for the department.
Who We Are
The Friends of the Ephrata Police Foundation is a volunteer group of business and community leaders who are a resource to the Ephrata Police to supplement funding provided by the boroughs and townships they serve. The Foundation is not a source for funding routine police operations, but rather a means to introduce new innovations in training, education, equipment and tactics that would not be otherwise possible due to municipal budget restrictions
The Foundation will host various community events that will offer additional opportunities for the Ephrata Police officers and the community members to interact. These additional connections will help to build and maintain trust and legitimacy in the eyes of our residents. The police force works hard to have a positive community presence and the Foundation’s efforts have the potential to take how the citizens view the police department to a new and higher level.
The Ephrata Police Department is more than just a law enforcement entity; it is a cornerstone of the community, dedicated to fostering safety, trust, and mutual respect among all residents. The Friends of the Ephrata Police Foundation is committed to planning and supporting projects that align with the Ephrata Police Department’s vision for a harmonious and connected community.
